Terms and Conditions
Welcome to ipposview.gr!
1. Terms & Conditions
1.1. Introduction & General Scope
Welcome to IpposView. These Terms and Conditions govern your booking, participation, and presence at our premises located in Hierissos, Chalkidiki. By booking an appointment or entering our facilities, you explicitly agree to comply with and be bound by these rules. Our primary goal is to provide a safe, respectful, and unforgettable equestrian experience.
1.2. Appointments, Cancellations & Delays
All experiences and horse riding sessions at IpposView are available strictly by appointment only. To ensure the optimal planning of our schedules and the welfare of our animals, the following rules apply:
Notice for Changes: If you need to cancel or modify your scheduled reservation, please inform us as early as possible.
Late Cancellations: In the event of a late cancellation (less than twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled ride time), or if you fail to show up, it heavily disrupts our schedule.
Delays: If you arrive more than fifteen (15) minutes after your scheduled appointment time, we may be completely unable to accommodate or reschedule your ride for that day. This strict policy helps us maintain a smooth schedule for all guests and guarantees the necessary rest and wellbeing of our horses.
1.3. Ride Participation & Eligibility
To ensure the safety, comfort, and physical integrity of both our guests and our horses, participation is subject to specific criteria:
Route Selection: Riding routes and trails are selected exclusively by our guides according to the rider’s age, actual experience, and confidence level.
Pace Control: Faster riding paces (such as trotting or cantering) are strictly prohibited unless explicitly approved and directed by the accompanying guide.
Right of Refusal: We reserve the absolute right to refuse participation or terminate an ongoing activity immediately if safety requirements are not met, if rider weight limitations tailored to the horses' physical capacity are exceeded, or if a guest behaves in a reckless, abusive, or disruptive manner that may endanger themselves, other people, or the animals.
1.4. Weather Conditions & Force Majeure
The safety of our guests and horses always comes first. Rides may be postponed, modified, shortened, or cancelled entirely in cases of unsuitable or dangerous weather conditions. This includes, but is not limited to, strong winds, heavy rain, thunderstorms, extreme heat, or any other conditions that may compromise safety. Any decision regarding ride availability, suspension, or alteration is made exclusively by the IpposView team, with the welfare of both humans and horses in mind.
1.5. Liability Notice
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Participation in horseback riding and all related equestrian activities is undertaken entirely at the rider’s own responsibility and risk. While our horses are carefully selected, professionally trained, and handled with the highest standards of care, horses are living, sentient animals and may react unpredictably to unexpected environmental factors, sudden noises, or wildlife. By participating in any activity at IpposView, guests fully acknowledge the inherent risks associated with horse riding and explicitly agree to strictly follow all safety instructions provided by our staff.
2. Safety & Riding Guidelines
The safety of our guests and horses is our highest priority. The following operational guidelines are mandatory without exception:
Protective Gear: Safety helmets are provided by IpposView and must be worn securely by all riders throughout the entire duration of the ride.
Required Attire: Closed-toe shoes (boots or athletic sneakers) and long trousers are strictly required. Guests wearing sandals, flip-flops, shorts, or skirts will not be allowed to mount.
Insect Comfort: We highly recommend bringing and applying your own insect repellent for your personal comfort during the outdoor trails.
Minors: Children must always be closely supervised and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times while on our premises.
Substance Prohibition: Smoking is strictly prohibited during all activities, on the trails, and near the horses or stable buildings. Furthermore, riding under the influence of alcohol, medication that impairs motor skills, or illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.
Guide Authority: For your absolute safety, you must actively listen to and immediately follow all instructions provided by your guide throughout the experience.
3. Code of Conduct Around the Horses
Horses are inherently gentle, well-cared-for, and magnificent animals, but they are also large, powerful, and sensitive living beings with strong flight instincts. All visitors must respect the following protocols:
Interaction Restrictions: Do not approach, touch, groom, or feed the horses any treats or food without the explicit prior permission of an IpposView staff member.
Blind Spots: Avoid standing or walking directly behind a horse, as this constitutes their primary blind spot and may cause defensive reactions.
Behavioral Controls: Avoid sudden movements, running, shouting, loud noises, or any erratic actions that may startle or panic the animals. Treat the horses with maximum respect, calmness, and care at all times.
4. Payment & Refund Policy
4.1. Payment Terms
At IpposView, we aim to keep our booking process simple and stress-free. Payment for all booked experiences is made entirely on-site on the specific day of your scheduled ride. We currently do not require advance payments, credit card holds, or monetary deposits to secure standard reservations. Payments can be settled quickly at our reception via cash or major credit/debit cards.
4.2. Refund Policy
Since no upfront payment or deposit is collected at the time of booking, standard monetary refunds are not applicable. However, the following economic and scheduling terms apply to cancellations:
Provider Cancellation: If IpposView cancels a ride due to severe weather, horse health concerns, or unexpected operational constraints, guests owe absolutely no compensation, and we will make every effort to reschedule the session at a mutually convenient time.
Guest Non-Compliance: If a session is terminated early or cancelled on-site because a guest refuses to follow safety gear requirements, violates guidelines, or exhibits dangerous behavior, no rescheduled session will be offered, and full payment for the booked slot may be requested.
